Clearances and grades

Low bridges, railroad crossings, weight limits, long downgrades and summits, with what to do about them before you get there.

Things to see

Landmarks and detours along the way, sorted by how far off the route they are. Mark what you want, skip what you do not, check off what you have seen. States you sleep in get checked off with points.

What people ask before signing up.

What do I actually get for the monthly price?

The hosted app with the data already loaded: 185,000 railroad crossings, bridge clearances, 235,000 places to stop, 10,700 Harvest Hosts, Route 66 in eight states. You plan trips, log fuel, and track stops without running a server or importing anything. Counts as of Sep 2026.

Can my partner use my account?

Yes. Every account includes one free partner seat. They get their own sign-in and can see and edit the same trips, fuel logs and RV profiles. You are billed as one household.

Do I need a password?

No. Sign-in is a passkey: your face, fingerprint or device PIN. Scan the code on screen with your phone and you're in. You can register more than one device so a lost phone doesn't lock you out.

How do I cancel?

Cancel the subscription in PayPal whenever you like. Access continues to the end of the period you already paid for, then stops. Nothing to email anyone about.

Is it really open source?

The source is on GitHub under PolyForm Noncommercial. You can read it, run it on your own hardware, and keep your data entirely on your own machine, at no cost. Paying for the hosted version buys the convenience, not the code.

Where does the map data come from?

OpenStreetMap extracts for all 50 states, OpenStreetMap railway crossings, Harvest Hosts through your own membership, Wikipedia for things to see, and AWS terrain tiles (SRTM and NED) for grades. Coverage is best in the contiguous US.
